Winning with Originality

I enjoy following Guy Kawasaki’s blog, and I am excited for his keynote at PubCon in November. He recently blogged about a new book by Kathy LaBarre, called “Mavericks at Work: Why the Most Original Minds in Business Win”. I think I am going to find me a copy at the library and read a chapter or two to test it out. The questions being asked of the author give you a good sense for the book. Read Guy’s post at http://blog.guykawasaki.com/2006/10/ten_questions_w.html and be sure to follow his blog.
I hope that all of us running our own business are “Mavericks” in at least a small sense. We must be proactive and seek out opportunities. Sometimes it is who you know, sometimes it is how deep you think, and sometimes it is how good a perspective you have of the playing field.
