		<description>I agree. I think it comes down to, is their definition of "SEO" the same as your definition of SEO? If its just meta tags and keyword sprinkling, I want to know that's all it is. Don't let them make it seem "magical" and it should be okay.

I think that many "unknowns" can in some ways do better than the fishkinites, especially when its so integrated with other elements of what you do. If you know real SEO, that makes you worth tons.</description>

		<description>Good post and Lee poses a valid question.  Isn't it safe to say, however, that any (ethical) SEO is better than no SEO at all.  You get what you pay for, of course (sometimes more, sometimes less), but you don't HAVE to hire the likes of Rand Fishkin or Barry Schwartz to improve your rankings.  Many of us "unknowns" offering design, SEO/SEM, and other web services can, at the very least, give your site a great jumpstart.</description>
