The SoloSEO Interface
SoloSEO was designed to be simple and easy to use. The project you are working on currently is displayed on top, and you can switch easily using the switch option. Across the top is the Main Menu, with each section having submenus listed below (after visiting the main menu item). We love getting feedback and suggestions, and that link is easily accessible.
Dashboard
When you first log in you see the Dashboard. The Dashboard gives you access to all of the main features quickly. Dashboard also lists your top active tasks, lets you add or complete a task, and shows you your site statistics. Your site statistics include Indexed Pages, Backlinks, Page Rank, and Alexa rating, and a snapshot of your site statistics is taken each week. You can also view your site statistics in a nice graph over time.
Keyword Ranking Reports
Knowing your rankings for your keywords is very important in SEO, plus it's a lot of fun. The Reports area of SoloSEO allows you to submit up to 50 keywords for each report. The report runs in the background, so you're not waiting for the page to load. Once the report is complete, you'll get an email to let you know. You can view the report, email it to a client or your Mom, and you can print the report with no mention of SoloSEO. We'll keep all of your recent reports, and you can quickly re-run them with just one click. We recently updated the report to include rankings from Google, Yahoo, and MSN/Live.com.
Keyword Manager
Organize your keywords all in one place, by topic and by "top" keywords, and search your keywords all from one interface. The Keyword Manager is integrated with the Keyword tools, so when you find your keywords, it is really easy to add them. You can export your files into a .TSV file, that can be imported easily into Excel and other spreadsheet software.
Keyword Tools
Tools for finding keywords are integrated with the Keyword Manager, so once you find the right keywords, adding them is just a click away. Our keyword research tools include a multi-source keyword finder, using three different sources for keywords and displaying them all at once. Our keyword scan will take your site, or another site (like a competitor's), and scan for relevant keywords.
Content Tracking and Optimization
You might know how many backlinks your domain has, but what about each page of your site? With SoloSEO you can track backlinks and PageRank for your important landing pages and other content. Link Build It!
One of the important aspects of finding potential links is assessing the quality or strength of a page or site. Link Build It! is a bookmarklet tool that you can use while browsing. After installing (takes 5 seconds) you can click it from any page, and the be shown important statistics about the page and site you are interested in.
Link Manager
Link Building is definitely a process that takes work. The main steps are finding potential links, assessing their strength, contacting, following-up, and then checking active links to make sure they are still up. SoloSEO lets you streamline this whole process. With tools such as the Link Search Tool to help you find potential links, Link Build It! (see above) to help you assess their strength, then save it directly to Link Manager with the contact information, update the status of your communication with the site owner (even add comments), and then we'll keep an eye on the link and make sure it is still on the page. Now that is cool! One more way to make your life in SEO, easier.
Watch your Competitors
Keeping track of statistics on your competitors can help you to gauge what needs done for your site. With SoloSEO you can keep track of all your competitors in one place, including site statistics data like indexed pages, backlinks, PageRank, and Alexa rating. Competitive Analysis Report
This report retrieves the top ten listings in Google for a keyword, and displays various statistics for each site found, including indexed pages, backlinks, Page Rank, Alexa rating, and keyword occurrence. Just like the Keyword Ranking reports, the report runs in the background and emails you when its done. Then view, email, or print. Your recent reports will be saved and you can re-run them with just one click.
Task Management
You always have something that can be done for your projects, why not organize it all in one place? SoloSEO's task management system helps you keep on top of your important tasks, and keeps track of when they were completed. You can keep a task pool (queued tasks) that your active task list constantly pulls from, keeping you on top of things. Drag and drop sorting makes it easy to prioritize your tasks.
